Comlux America expands its facilities and signs new completion contracts
Comlux America is pleased to announce the construction of a new, state-of-the-art hangar to be completed by the second quarter of 2012. The new hangar will be located adjacent to the current Comlux facilities and will allow Comlux America to significantly increase its production capabilities with a total surface of 64,500 sq ft. Comlux America will be able to complete four narrow body aircraft simultaneously. The shops will be located in the hangar maximizing coordination amongst the different skills and overall efficiency. Customers will have direct access to their aircraft through fully equipped and modern offices.
This facility expansion affirms Comlux strong presence in the State of Indiana and will lead to the creation of approximately 100 new jobs. The Indianapolis Airport Authority, the City of Indianapolis and the State of Indiana are supporting Comlux America’s project, and see in Comlux a strong and long-term economic presence in the Indianapolis area.
Comlux America marked another important milestone in its rapid growth by receiving this year three new completion orders for VVIP Airbus and Boeing aircraft, with three different clients.
